So i plan on going to a GT near me this up comming year. Shy of new army drops and FaQ's, i want to build a list and get practice in. It's a 2000pt tournament.
These new armys are speed speed speed, and honestly seraphon lack the speed to keep up. But there is hope.
We have 4 choices that can be clutch. (That i can think of)
1st tellaports
2nd summoning
3rd chameleon skinks
4th alpha strike (shadowstrike)
Now out of those 4, only 1 of them is really a viable choice, the alpha strike, seeing as other than the skinks the rest have to say 9" out.
The skinks are great to grab objectives, and if your lucky kill off a smaller hero. But for overall damage out put......
For this reason i want to bring at lest 1 units of 6. That way i can maximize a good amount of damage on larger heroes. Ideally.
I also like the idea of bringing in a lord relector for his d3 mortal wounds, but it's the -1 to hit i need to go off. Tie that with starmasters vast intellect to use summon starlight for an extra -1.
Now none of this set in stone, i just like the idea of this set up. I also really like having the eternal starhoast with the 2+ rerolls, and d3 damage. But can't seem to fit it in.
Some ranged would be nice too, at least 24" range. To keep threat real.
