8th Ed. Gearing up for Ard Boyz

Since we're only a couple months out from Ard Boyz, I figured I'd start messing around with lists. My goal is a solid 3k list without having to buy any new stuff, so I'm pretty much taking my standard 2500 army and adding in things I have sitting around, here's where I'm at so far:

As it stands I've got 65 points left over, so the big question is what in the world do I do with the points. I'd prefer to spend it on equipment rather than a new unit (as it would pretty much require me to buy another box of something), so my thoughts have been something along the lines of some combination of the Bane Head on the Slann or maybe going with the Obsidian Amulet for the MR2 to the unit, upgrading the Skink Priest to a lvl 2 and dropping the cube to a regular scroll to fit in the Ruby Ring on him.

Any other thoughts or ideas?

That would require buying more models. Besides, with Light the Cav is usable as Hydra/Abom hunters, not great, but usable.

ah u used the models u had, well tbh, taking down ahydra with the cav, would require LUCK mhh, add 2+wsv vs ranged damage to slann maybe

Priest is perfect dont change him.
Definately banehead on slann (nominate l2 wizard on their side and instakill.
Get the mr3 slann discipline, cuz 19 tg are gonna get fucked using light at 3000 points...
I would say switch to life...

MR3 is a great call, thank you! Banehead + Banishment is great for putting a hurting on greater demons as well.
I thought about switching to Life, but I still prefer Light overall as it still provides a lot of protection while boosting my offensive output.
