I think this format should be allowed, no individual points are listed now. This list is a bit core heavy, so I could potentially change out some of it for a mounted Scar-Vet, if need be. I gave the lone Slann ethereal, but are 2 Stegadons enough? I could include a baby in specials if that might do better, but I don't see much point in that. I went with 3 units of Saurus instead of 2 larger blocks in order to be more maneuverable.

Thoughts?

How much experience do you have with Lore of Light? In my experience, I would rather have 2 Saurus units instead of 3, because then they and the Stegadons are easier to keep inside the 12" spell bubble range. Your experience may differ of course.

If I shrunk the Saurus down to 2x30 men groups each still with FC, I would save 162 points, which I could use to buy a mounted Scar-Veteran all kitted out. Maybe something like this:

Scar-Veteran
-Gambler's Armor
-Dawnstone
-Great Weapon
-Cold One

I think your list is a little heavy on Skirmishing units (9 units), you can only put Light of Battle on one skirmisher unit at a time (practically speaking). I'd cut the Skirmishers back for more infantry.

At the 3000 point level, most armies have three good solid blocks.

I think with two Skink priests to direct Light magic missiles, you can afford to bunker the Slann in Temple Guard

A Temple Guard block flanked by two big Saurus blocks should be able to handle about everything and you should still be able to keep your Stegadon in bubble range. If your Slann is deployed solo, it's harder to get bubbles. To help pay for the Temple Guard you could safely drop the Higher State of Consciousness and the Divine Plaque of Protection. If you were planning on using Light mostly without bubbles, you should probably stick with the lone Slann though.

Looks good to me, I'd consider dropping the Razor Standard in exchange for a few more Temple Guard. It's a little expensive for what it does considering that TG already give a -2 to enemy armor saves. The Banner of Eternal Flame or War Banner will more bang for your buck in my opinion.

If you expect to play Vampire Counts, you'll want some characters with magical weapons but if not you should be fine against most opponents with this army

I like the Razor Standard since it turns them into a more meat grinder unit. Personally I'd rather have great weapons (since I'm stuck at I2 without using my shield anyways) but that's not an option (and if it was it'd be more than 1 point each). I don't really understand the point of the flaming banner. Fear isn't that good anymore, and there's so many items that give amazing wards vs flaming.... Are there really that many regenerating units?

I will look at the warbanner, but does that still work when the Slann BSB is in the unit with it?

The anti-flame ward saves are something to be wary of. It's not that there are that many Regenerating units. It's that if they aren't there you are only out 10 points. If the Razor Standard is uneeded you are out 45 points. Flaming attacks also help when assaulting buildings.

+1 CR for the BSB, +1 CR for the TG Standard, +1 CR for the Warbanner. They all stack.

I just don't like that with the flame banner you could potentially be paying points to activate your enemies ward saves. I will try it though, as that combination will save me some points and then I would have 48 points to spare on more a few more TG.

Also thanks for the static res breakdown, that's good to know.
