Saurus are too slow to be good flankers and you definitely need at least one unit of 'em, unless you're trying to field an all skink army. What you could do is drop a unit of kroxigors and field a unit of saurus 18 strong w/ a standard and a musician (the champions aren't really necessary unless theres a character in the unit). and that should leave you with 92 pts.

If you're using your general as a character hunter I would suggest droping the Burning blade and talisman of protect and giving him a great weapon and the aura of quetzl for that 4+ ward against high str attacks. you still get that -4 to AS and it's easier for him to wound. also chariots will be scared of him.

usually its team play 2v2 so that's why I have so many skinks and kroxigor to flank support my teammate.

I think I'll take the idea of changing up the equipment switch. It's like JSoD but on a Cold one instead

If the character is mouted, the GW only gives 1 plus strenght, meaning no chariot busting, and you allways strike last.

The option with the Dons and the chams is not a legal option.....
That will make up for 4 special slots (krox, krox, dons and chammies)...

Our playgroup just started a mini tournament with 1250 pts as well.
we share some ideas, but on other grounds with differ......

Just for fun (well at least i like it ...my 1250 list..
Nike saurus (172 pts), Scar-vet BSB (200 pts, with banner of huanci), 2x 11 skinks, 1x 3 krox, 1x 4 krox, 1x4 Dons and 3 sallies.....

At 1250 i choose combat instead of magic....Our best magician ( the fat toad) kicks a$$ from 2K and up.......The rest is nice as support, but nothing more, i.m.h.o.

i don't use any chameleons in my 1250 point list... cost too much for the point total imo
