8th Ed. Flaming Ancient Steg?

I was thinking about this a couple days ago, and didnt see anything about it here but has anyone tried this?

Skink Chief, BSB, Flaming Banner on Ancient Stegadon?

Seems to me like it would put a hurting on some opposing monsters and Ogres!!

Hmmm you know, I've never even thought about putting a magic standard on a Chief with a Stegadon.. It sounds like a fun combo and worth a try, and then being mounted on a large target would increase the range of the standards effectiveness.. Hmmm I can see a couple potential drawbacks but it still seems worth a try Other fun ones to try would be Huanchi's blessed totem (+d6 to his charge ), Ranger's Standard (This one makes me giggle....), and then Razor standard would make the Stegadon pop open everything like a can of worms.. And Banner of Swiftness Hmmm I can't believe I had never seen this idea before! Maybe i'll try running an Oldblood, EoTG, and this and see what happens

Our Sun Standard of Chotec ? is a great defense against BS based attacks (archers and bolt throwers).

Ps. I Believe you also get extra range from the BSB due to the steg being a Large Target.

Pps. the Razor standard only works in close combat.

I suppose you could combine it with other standards just fine

My goal was to have 4d6, poisoned, flaming darts to kill about any monster in the game! Hydras should drop pretty easy and if not and they charge, just stand and shoot!!!
