8th Ed. fisrt post and completly new to lizarmen

hey guys long time lurker and have finally decided that i'd like to start a fantasy army and have always love the lizardmen.
im going to start off by buying the battle force and army book... but i was wondering what models i shouls then start to look at getting? in oder of importance if possible

After the battalion box, here's what you should be getting:

1) A Slann Mage-Priest: These guys are invaluable. your general as soon as you hit 1500 pts army. A must buy!

2) Salamanders, at least 2 of them. Some of the best pts for pts unit in the game as we speak, 2nd on the Lizardmen MVP list.

- After that, it all depends on how you want to run your army. I received a second battalion box which gave me plenty of Saurus Warriors, Skink Skirmishers and TG to build a 2000 pts list. You can use some Skirmishers as Chameleons with little conversion work. The only problem is you end up with 16 CoC that barely nobody but me use .

- Alternatively, you can buy 1 TG box, 2 Saurus Boxes and after that just pick whatever units you like.

Step 1 and 2 are really important if you are looking for some of the best units available to Lizardmen. After that, pick whatever you feel like painting since you'll be spending a lot of time doing that!!!
