8th Ed. First Try at Lizardmen: 2400 points

This is my first try at making a Lizardmen armylist. In fact it is my first Warhammer fantasy list. I've played 40k since 2004 so now it was relly hard for me Anyway, i was wanting to make a list based on saurus but i know that skinks are a must, so...

Any suggestions are kindly requested. It's a shame that I stared "playing" WFB at the start of 8th edition, because the model that drag me here was the EotG and i just have to have one

First off, you can't take a Shield with a Slann, but other than that, it looks like a good build.
Also, a Skink Priest can only take 50 points of magic items, but if my maths are correct, you've gone over in that respect as well. Also, see if you can find points to make him a lvl 2.
I think you might want to beef up your Saurus units - at 20 points, there's going to be some stuff that can hurt even our awesome troops. In 2000 points I take 2 units of 30. Especially if you want to "make a list based on Saurus".
Other than that, it seems like a decent enough list.

Well, in my codex the dispel scroll and the amulet are even 50 points. But i havent looked at the 8th edition point cost. Why can't the Slann use the shield? I've read the FaQ and the Errarta and didn't find any restrictions. Usually they are mentioned in brackets bleow the name.
Overall thank you for the advise once again. And i have one more question, because i don't have a BSB, so it isint a big deal?

well, make your slann BSB. or any other hero.
as asrodrig said, boost your saurus units!
otherwise this looks like a solid list.

wizards can't take magic armour unless they could normally be equipped with it. the 2+ ward from ranged is a better choice anyway
