7th Ed. First lizzie list 2250

Well, this is my first lizzie list, and I'm pretty sure it's not the best...
Anyway, I wanted a magic heavy list as well as getting two ancient stegs into the mix.

Lords:
Slann - Focus of Mystery, The Focused Rumination, Unfathomable Presence, Cupped Hands, Bane head - 435


Heroes:
Scar-vet - Cold one, Maiming Shield, Burning Blade of Chotec, light armor - 160
Skink Priest - lvl 2, Engine of the Gods, Plaque of Tepok - 405
Skink Chief - Ancient steg, War-Spear, spear - 384


Core:
Saurus x13 - full command, spears - 186
Saurus x15 - full command, spears - 210
Skink skirmishers x10 - brave - 76


Special:
Temple Guard x12 - full command - 227
Terrodon x3 - 90


Rare:
Salamander - 75

Anyway, let me know what you think, I'm thinking I've tied way too much into characters and not enough into units (since I come from Orcs and Goblins, I'm used to about 10% of my total points being in characters). But I really like the two steg idea, definitely since one can take out a unit of chaos knights (assuming it gets the charge off).

A couple of things: - try to find the points to get the War-Drums on your EotG
- try to get at least 16 TG so that your Slann is nicely protected from all sides
- I believe one big block of Saurus will serve you better than 2 smaller ones (deploy them 6 wide with spears, they kick tail )
- lose the brave on the Skinks, he's not worth the 6pts
- lose the spear on the Chief, he uses the War-Spear (lance) on the charge so he'll never get to use it

haha, it would help if I read item descriptions better! I just remembered the steg bonus, didn't see the lance part....could be that it was 3-4 am when I made the list hehe.

how many models strong should I make the unit of saurus? 18 3 rows deep? This would mean I need another core unit! Should I scrap the scar vet to free up some points?

By combining the units you should be able to free up enough points to field another 10 strong unit of skink skirmishers. (You no longer have to field 2 command squads/drop the brave/lance etc)

15 is your golden number for your saurus, 3x5 ranks, spears = 20 attacks, 21 including champ (but the champ is not necessary so downgrade this model if you need the extra points.


As mentioned above you would do well to add a few more TG but it isn't vital, just don't throw them around the board too much and they should do fine.
