I just got started with warhammer fantasy. I am trying to come up with a 2000 pt army. Below is my attempt:
Slann Mage-Priest
Rumination, Becalming Cogitation, Cupped Hands, BSB (Standard of Disc)
Skink Priest, lvl 2 with cloak of feathers
16 Temple Guard FC
24 Saurus Warrior, FC, HW (6x4 formation)
25 Saurus, FC w/ spears (5x5)
2 Salamanders with extra handler
16 skink + 2 Krox with music and banner
5 Cham skinks
5 Cham Skinks
10 skink skirmish (blowpipes)
I've only really played one game before, but I figured that my initial setup would have sallies on one flank with the Skrox unit on the other. Cham skinks up forward to take out warmachines (if any) with my skirmishers in the middle ahead of my two saurus units. My temple guard and Slann will be right in the middle of my two saurus heading up the gut with my skink priest flying around the side and rear of the enemy to channel magic missiles and cast some magic into the vulnerable sides of the enemy.
So any ideas on this? I rather wanted to include a stegadon or a Scar Veteran but ran out of points. I guess I could get rid of one of the saurus warrior units to include one or the other. I'm not sure what kind of races I'll be up against. Any comments welcome, thanks.
