8th Ed. First Army list

Making up a 2500 pt Lizardmen army for the first time. Plan is to test the same list 5-10 times to get to know the units and feel, even though I'll get creamed

Any suggestions? I've been told often to go with large blocks of Saurus.

Saurus are good. Bring a Slann and some skirmishers, a Stegadon, and Salamanders. Fill out the rest with whatever you think you like! Temple guard are good for starting out also.
