First off I've not had a thorough read of the army book yet and I'm not very good with fantasy (especially the new version) so I may have made a mistake or two and maybe missed some great item combinations. Also my second scar vet might be substituted for some chameleon skinks but this will be a budget army at first so sticking to a battleforce a slann and a couple of other models I can get cheap to give me a usable army for an affordable price.

So how does it look? I am slightly concerned about having so many points in my lords/heroes and magic weapons. I think getting some chameleon skinks eventually will help balance it out a lot, but I like the fact I could field this whole army for about £57 :)
 
I made a couple of small changes to fit in a cold one for the second scar vet. I'm really not sure on the magic items I've chosen, I'm thinking it could be good to try to fit in the razor standard for the temple guard. I'm looking to play this list next thursday using my local stores LM army so any feedback to improve it would be great.
 
razor standard plus halberds and s4 means -3 to armor saves so they can kill armored guys. although, you should try to keep the slann out of combat, so you might not want to go overboard on the temple guard. i think that one of your scar-vets should have a battle standard, its really good in 8th edition. personally i dont think 20 saurus warriors is enough for 1500, as im packing 30 in 1000 points. but i do understand that its diffucult to get all these units with a budget. you do have an awful lot of points in heroes and lords though. chameleon skinks are wonderful if you'll be facing warmachines, as i myself hope to get some chameleons soon
