your not supposed to list individual points cost of units...
and I am unclear of what loadout your Slann has... whats a MR2?

MR2= Magic Resistance 2, that talisman, cant remember its name
 
On the slaan i'd swap reroll miscast for focused rumination, i'd also find space for cupped hands as well.

I have only to say that you dont have Heroes , Temple Guard vs elite infantries has serius problems, you need suport by 1-2 scar veterans so you can do kills on the enemy and ofc the oponet reconsider to attack to your unit.
Banner of Eternal Flame ? why ? put banner Huanci , when you cast Time Warp you ll have 10+2d6+1d6 bonus from banner or even with no Time Warp 8+3d6, you ll target an enemy he cant flee (frenzy , undead unit etc) you ll charge and you ll make a brake point on enemy lines.
My list with Lore of Light , has also an oldblood , slan is poor on points but he dont need lot protection inside the Temple Guard, and oldblood with sword +3 attacks , potion of str , gem2+ws on fire,enchant shield,LA
has 1+as and 8 attacks str5 (9 and ASF with time warp) plus the proper time you ll take the potion.
I like lot the stegadon ! (2nd thought for an engine ? )
I am not fun of salies but ofc when they have space can anihilate enemy infantries fast !
The 2 Blocks of Infatry they do really good their job , and diverters are fine (skink),chameleons are must !
The list is good with the exception i say , lack of Oldblood or scar veterans, i know is matter of points , but think it !

Magic Restrictions:
- Apart from Winds of magic and Channeling, an army may only generate 2 PD/DD per magic phase.
- You may have units/abilities that actually would generate more than 2 extra dice, but any excess dice are lost
- Some magic items/abilities count as generating dice toward this limit.
- “Count as” items/abilities may never exceed a cumulative 2 PD/DD per phase. This means that if you take the Book of Hoeth, you may not take any other items that “count as adding PD/DD”
- All modifiers are applied from the army list and will not change during the game.

Lizardmen: Salamanders are a 0-1 Choice; Terradons, Chameleon Skinks and Stegadons (any kind) are 0-2 choices; Beclaming Cogitations counts as +1 PD and +2DD; Cupped hands counts as +2PD

As you can see, I cant have both Focused Rumination and Cupped Hands. And sicne becalming cogitation is musthave, I cant have neither

Banner of Ethernal flames, I can kill hydra and such easily, and it's cheaper

I am not sure do I need scar vets. Saurus warriors with WS10 I10 are pretty hard hitting too, But I guess I could try couple scar vets, I think one with Piranha Blade would be good., by dropping stega, it's too much free points
Good suggestions, as You see, my list is still just finding it's form, Stega is definatelly swapped for Saurus warriors when I have enough miniatures.

Engine: Pretty useless nowadays, with TLoS and Cannon/Template rules, it's killed on turn 2.
In Tailored list vs certain enemy, perhaps, but not in Tournament list
 
ah, didn't see those rules, were they on the link, if so i could open it for some reason.

In that case i like the slaan's set up
 
Juha, yes engine with true line of sight seems fragile
but if some target it (dont forget the 5+ ward ) rest army ll be free to move.
Also the dangerus is only the cannons (empire mostly , dwarfs more rare , skaven random str , not reliable), the stone thrower template is randomize (the hole) so you have 2 times 5+ ward save (one for hit skinks on 5+ and one the normal ward save)
Still when you have 2 stegadons march with the solid saurus and the famus Temple Guard among them, i think the opponet need time and his strategic is a bit disorient.
I use 2 stegas ok some times i lose 1 (in cc , or on shooting) but as summary they worth (if are 2) in compare the damage do.
Finaly you play ETC so all is about team managment and pairing , avoid Empire and Crush , Kill , Destroy the rests !

Bump, I edited my list, Feedbackscroll+ banehead deserves at least a try, after few games we'll see which build I am going to run in final version. I've 30sh points to spare, any suggestions? Couple more chamos? couple more saurus warriors?
 
Pumb again, Taking this list to a smallish store tournament nearby, after that to a bigger tournament (40sh players), 99% of last years Finnish ETC team, so it's going to be a really hard one.

All suggestions are highly wellcome!

I feel quiet certain that booth cannons and stonethrowers will hit booth the monster and all the skink crew, so there will be no 5+ chance to save the steg that way.

Would however gladly be corrected on that point since it will make the Steg way better.
 
I think he meant the S9 hit is randomized, all parts do take S3 hit
 
Ok, thats true. However in order for that to happen the hole of the template needs to be over the skinks. If the hole is above the Steg only there is no chance to pass on the high-trength hit.
 
Up, I noticed that my list is 30sh points short.

I had a practise game vs brettonia, lost, but very entertaining and close game

I think I drop Stegadon, it's too easily killed by certain armies (Brets, Empure, Dorfs, Skaven etc.)

I take 2 Scar vets instead, one with Piranha Blade, and Other with 4+ warded heavy armour and cold one (T5 1+ AS and 4+ ward) True, he wont get LOS! rolls, but I think I can Hide him so that enemy cant snipe him with cannons or such
 
Had 3 practise games, the small tournament had only 5 players (me included) se we just played agaisnt each others.

First game vs Delfs, hydra, 3x10 RXBs, lvl2, dreadlord, 2x 20 black guard, 30sh unit of frenzy corsairs, cauldron bsb, 2x 5 harpies, 5 shades.

Managed to pull 17-3 win in the end, althought I must admid it was a very close one. did couple of mistakes that almoust cost me the game, but my opponent did a lot more of them.

Second game vs Dorfs, 2x cannons, Stone thrower, Organ gun, 25sh unit of hammerers, 30sh unit of GW dorfs, 15sh unit of GWd Xbowmen, 2x 10 Thunderers, bsb, anvil.

Didnt get the first turn, but none of my camo units were killed completely, so I shot wound or 2 on my next turn. Then, on his turn 2, Slann failed Look out sir roll, followed by failed 4+ ward save, and cannon did 5 wounds on him. I was almoust giving up, but I figured out that If I can kill couple of his warmachines, and kill his big unit of core dwarfs, I could pull a draw from this one. And that was excatly the thing I did, killed his warmachines with skinks, killed his 30sh unit of dwarfs, tried to ignore Hammerers (fled with saurus warriors/ TGs when he charged) in the end he was leading with 132pts, due the fact that he catched my TGs when they tried to flee. But we used ETC comps, so it was a draw. One of the best games I have had in long time, due the fact that I was so much behind him on turn 2.

3rd game, 16-4 loss vs Welfs, Dont have enough time atm to write, but he had 2 Treemen, 30sh unit of eternal guard with lord, lvl4 life mage and bsb, shootersx3, dryads. Had a change to win game on turn 2 when he casts dwellers on my TG box with 6 dices. 9 TGs died, I used feedback scroll (lvl4 was baneheaded) but only managed to roll 1 5+ with 6 dices.. on turn 6 he gets his treemen on my Slanns box
and kills my remaining TGs in couple rounds (slann failes -5 ld break check on my final turn and is destroyed. fair enough I think),

I'll make couple of changes in my list (slann really needs that 2+ ward vs Flaming attacks..)
 
How did it end? I played against him last fall in Turku Fanatic and lost 16-4, delfs are worst match up for me.

Pretty "hard landing" when first game was vs. ETC guy. with Delfs

WONG!
Page 105 clearly states that:
In the case of a Stone Thrower, which inflicts hits at two different streinghts (assuming that model's base is under the center of the template). Randomise as for a shooting attack...

And since the skinks and steg all share a single base, as soon as the center lands on it all of them get an low S hit save for the one who gets the high S randomised on him.

For you to be right the skinks need to have their own bases wich rules wise they can't ever have, as all of GW's miniatures are required to be played with the bases that came with them and the steg skinks don't come with any, adding them makes the model non-legal.
