8th Ed. ETC carno list

a pity but our small country now wants to try ETC so the next turney will be with ETC rules:

So im thinking of puting a carno list because slann would be an ordinary 4 lvl mage just a lot of expensive imo.

list:

oldblood, carno mount, talisman of preservation (4+ward), dawnstone (reroll armour), light armour, shield,
Warrior bane sword
Hero
Skink priest 2 lvl, plaque of tepok, EOTG
scar vet bsb armour of destiny shield
Core

39 saurus wariors H/S standart musician
2x11 skirmishers

Special
Stegadon

RARE
2x Ancient stegadon

yeah its fun, i like chunky stegadons on my list, the more the better

But is it competetive? and would it be competetive againts ETC? never played etc.

Which counrty are you from ?

I have participate on last 4 ETC tournaments all with Lizards
This year i ll be again with Lizies with some small % play Tomb King.

ETC is one of biggest and most enjoyable tournament , you meet persons above all world , diforent counries and cultures , when you come once , you ll try to be every year.

Now for your list
i like it
but you can have 2 stegadons any kind on your list and the engine of gods is one , so you need remove the special choice and 1 rare.Try to read the restrictions per army on ETC site.
With spare points ,and are lots, add chameleons 2x8 , terradons 0-2 choice , or make your infantries 2x30
and try also and mixed unit.
Also Carnasaur is nice choice but on same points you take Slan
an ordinary Carnosaur and Lord costs near 450-480 , same points you have a level 4-bsb mage with descent --- to imba ,item/disciplines build (for example Slan - bsb / cogitation/ethereal/rerol miscasts/cupped hands/crown of command/dragonbane gem =480 )
But is just my opinion.

im from Lithuania, and its not the original ETC turnament we are just using those rules for some kind of reason.

you mean i can only have 2 stegs total? not 2 rare 2 special? then its crap...

taking a little of everything is not interesting and definetly not useful.....

i always hated ETC and if its true only 2 stegs total, definetly not going to play.
Those restricions are crazy, eventualy you only can come up with one list for a rase and almost no mixing...
Yrd you need to ban restrict something, but these rules are riping the unique touch of the army.

As i play deamons and lizards i can not see the logic of these restricions. with slann every magic faze i get ~4-5 extra power dice and now its max 2? not my game. its just seems that everyone would like to win easy and not thing how to beat something. And as far as i can see for lizards, daemons, DE the restricions are crazy just for no reasons, but one, little kinds whine and whine even though they win more than 50% of the games againts that race....

But its just my opinion, now i guess i will skip the turney.

Talisman of Preservation and Dawnstone are both Talismans and you will only be able to take one. I prefer Armour of Destiny and Dawnstone and putting the Talisman of Preservation on your BSB. That will only give your BSB a 3+ AS and 4+ WS. I normally mount on a Cold One (for 1+ AS) in a unit of Cold One Riders in order to flank.

Dude, ETC is the best. Stop beeing cheesy, dont greed just because you cant have 3 stegs. in your army. ETC is to balance up the whole game, nothing more nothing less. Read through the ETC rules again, and try another list. I think that a slann could do more for your army with the right lore and items than a carnosaur wich is an easy target for artillary.

stegs are far out form cheese, just little kidsd whine about everything and soon there will be only one steg alowed.
Woc almost unhit.

ETC vs normal rules, the same thing, only in ETC you have to deal with toned down deathstars, but in the same time you have less weapons for those deathstars, in normal games you have stronger deathstars but also stronger anti deathstars and so on, and alot of people spends more time to whine than think about something.
Thats my opinion. imho ETC is not forgiving to popular races because a lot kids get beated by smart players and then they whine and whine and whine....
