8th Ed. Escalation League Help

So the local Games Workshop store is starting up a escalation league with the first point total being 600, so I am taking this opportunity to finally start Lizardmen. I am going to just start with a battalion because I think it’s a quick 600 points, minus the temple guard. I was wondering if you had any suggestions for once the point totals get up to 1,200? I want to do sort of a monster mash style list when I get to higher point totals, so I will try to head somewhat in that direction with adding a stegadon and maybe a skink / kroxagor unit. Any help with be much appreciated.

My local GW is having a WFB escalation league also. I'm running all skinks. I am very excited about my stegadon and skink cohort. They look really good on paper, hopefully better on the table.

FYI the stegadon kit has a lot of extras. I made both a skink priest and skink chief with them.
