7th Ed. Engine of the Gods Question

If I take an Ancient Stegadon mount with Engine of the Gods, does it count as taking an Ancient Stegadon (Rare choice)?

same as putting krox into a skink unit makes it a 'special' unit

But what throws me off is that Krox aren't a mount. I mean... Cold Ones don't count for any choice right? As mounts, I'm not sure. Cuz I keep hearing people saying how they're gonna run 4-5 EoG's.

neither stegadon mounts or kroxies count towards any unit choices, and are a simple upgrade like a UBER killy giant shield.

yea hellbreaker is right. Nowhere in the book does it say that the mount adds to the composition of the army. e.g a Carnosaur also uses no hero slot now or did it ever ?

Yep, all of our heroes mounts are now just an upgrade, no special or rare price tags attached. Yeah, the carnosaur used to take a hero slot.

Its really cool that mounts don't count for choices now. In my old army, they chewed up my unit spaces like gum, or something else...

Yeah, that was one of the main reasons why I never fielded a Carno in 6th..(exept for once, but it got butched so I don't what to talk about it )

Someone forgot to tell Army Builder about that because right now Lord Mazdamundi and an EOTG counts as my 2 rare choices when I use that program just gonna have to ignore it.
