Does forum traffic seem down to you guys?

There doesn't seem to be as many new posts as usual these last few weeks. Any thoughts?

Well, it looks like strewart's been away for a month or so, ditto for a couple of other frequent posters. That's always going to be a big chunk of traffic

Not too much going on in the world of Lizardmen, from a warhammer stand point either. As well, things slow in summer.

Have to remember a lot of folks who play fantasy, play 40k, and well 6th ed 40k is starting to drop. Last thing I heard was that Germany has the actually book, so rumors are starting to be confirmed, and people are spending time learning whats going on with that edition.

means lower traffic on fantasy boards everywhere.

plus everything else folks are saying....

Yeah, definitely a drop off...bummer. Trying to add some fuel to the fire with some new projects. Always happy to see comments and answer questions, and share what I know about tactics and such.

I thought about making more Tacticas but I don't want the Tactics forum to become the Scalenex page. Hopefully it'll pick up later.

All forum sties are up and down in population. Usually the summer days after school is out gets slow on the boards because more people are spending time outsite and doing things as opposed to wanting to stay inside. It will eventually pick back up again.

Scalenex - I would highly suggest that if you have the ambition and time to write more tactics, then please do so. I understand that you may not want it to be the "Scalenex Show", but what many members may not realise is how many "guests" we have that frequent our boards looking for the specific things you have posted. In other words, any and all help is greatly appreciated - not just by LO members. Oh. .and THANK YOU for writing what you have done.

I am here, but not posting as much as I just moved and am trying to get everything unpacked as well as adjusting to a new routine. On top of that, my oldest son got a copy of Diablo 3. I have been playing that some as well as putting together some Ogre Ironsky cannons for an upcoming game.

oh yeah, don't forget diablo 3. it's the real life equivalent of miscasting-sucked-into-the-void.

Yea, I have about 5 days left on the guest pass. I realize that I will probably buy another copy of the game so that I can play while my son plays as well. I have to say that I am suprised how good it plays.

Hi all.

Old Mossy is correct, I've been gone for around 3 months now, sorry I don't think I should go into reasons out here though. Shame to see traffic reducing, that seems to happen for a lot of boards. These days it is harder to get regular posters and more often to see people posting a question or two then leaving. And its also very true that three haven't really been any LM updates from GW in a fair while, this means there isn't much new stuff to talk about. As a fairly powerful army, not a lot of people need help. And all the other reasons already mentioned; summer in the US, new 40k, also probably less people playing GW games overall due to their constant price rises and silly policies.

We should maybe try to start up an advertising campaign to help bring new members in? Maybe try to start some new projects here like the tactica index or painting guides, maybe house rules or something? Maybe even try for a campaign?

I hope a lot of the regulars are still around the place, this forum really did have a lot of great people.

I'd be all for some kind of promotion. I think the painting contest will help, especially once the Croc-ogres I sculpted are available at retail. Hoping that injects a little life into folks who maybe have put their lizardmen aside due to lack of "official" GW support.

Our forum membership is going up fairly steadily. I was going to congratulate the 10,000th member when they posted in Intros, but I seem to have missed whoever that was. That mark was passed up in early July, I think.

I'm down for some promos. I'm looking to get me one of them Croc-Ogres too.
