8th Ed. Daemons of Chaos vs Lizardmen

hey guys, i am in need of serious help. last week i battled a daemons of chaos army in the tourney im holding and this week I have to play him again. I didnt get destroyed, but he did beat me good. Mind you my dice roles werent very strong as i missed many armor saves and wounds. But dice rolls are part of the game and i gotta deal with it. heres a quick breakdown of the army

bloodthirster
herald of khorne
bloodletter horde
2 units of flamers (6 each)
harpies
soul grinder

my army
14 skink javs
10 skink blowpipes
10 skink blowpipes
saurus horde
stegadon\
engine of the gods
2 salamanders
carnosaur lord

what is my best course of action? i am at a complete loss. i kinda winged it last game and i didnt do poorly but it could have gone better. please if some one could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated. I really want to beat Chaos because I honestly cant stand them as an army, they are way to OP'ed in my opinion, especially that thirster. If I win, I will post pictures and a battle report. Thanks!

Ouch, that is not the sort of list I would want to field against Daemons. Basically nothing you have can threaten the Bloodthirster and the Soulgrinder is a huge problem for you.
Keep your Engine and Carnosaur away from the Bloodthirster. Find a way to lock down the Bloodthirster on the Saurus block (which should avoid horde formation) so you can hit it with Engine explosions. But a good Daemon player should never allow that, so you have to get him to mess up. Offering up the baby Stegadon as bait is the best plan I can think up currently.
I think you have to get your Carnosaur and/or Stegadon into the Flamers, without getting them killed by the rest of his army in the process.
Expend skinks to prevent the Bloodletters from charging and then the fight between them and the Saurus is not such a mismatch.

the deal with the list is that in the tourney players were only able to play with the same list all tournament long. so i kinda had to make a well rounded army for other races. and i never anticipated playing against daemons twice lol

well its good advice in regards to my heroes having to stay away from the bloodthirster. i did combat the thirster last game with my carnie, i had no idea that a bloodthirster gets to add D3 to S and A.
