AoS Conversions of the flying Chief

Alright, so GW have done the annoying ones again and now we need to buy a box of 3 Ripperdactyls for one Hero, because the nature of the unit sizes you will now have 2 extra (or if you make a Terradon Chief also) 1 extra model which you will probably never use, why? They were probably going to make a new model and just thought nah you guys will figure it out, so the question being.

What would you use as conversions? Between this kit and the Stegadon you can usually produce an extra skink or two, but the Terradon or Ripperdactyl? What can we use?

Well as a starter there 4 skinks in a kits of terra/ripper the best would be to find a old metal one um guessing but also if you play the summoning game then the extra 2 will make a nice new unit once one of your get kill?!!

I try getting a metal one but he was asking too much for what I wanted so no luck for me... he had a big bundle of lizardmen when you have to spend a extra 100$ to rebase it’s not fun lol

Yeah, been there done that. On 50 Skinks and a Stegadon, it was hell (cheap as hell tho, so worth)

I will just leave one model unassembled from a pack of three. Not a big fan of rules changes were you have suddenly stuff left over, but it could be way worse.

You can use the last one for conversions or modelling. Like, put it in dread saurian's jaw.

You could build a simple wire frame, w the head, legs, and tail. Then greenstuff sculpt the rest of the body? Use plastic card and heat bend it for wings?

I had a sneaking suspicion. Hard pass on that. Build leftover skinks, take large puffs of cotton wool, Cloud Riders is a go?

You could easily convert one I'd think. Especially considering there's that axe-like hand weapon. Could be kinda fun actually!

You should be stocking up on those kits anyways, so should be enough leftover parts for everything. Getting three boxes tomorrow. Building the two Chiefs for sure. Still undecided if I should go 9 Terradons and 6 Rippers or vice versa (numbers are including models I already have build).

These are the best kinds of decisions! After a long winter break and spending lots of time with another hobby (PC gaming) due to not enough motivation, I am finally going to get sh*t done again!
