Hey guys! I'm a new AoS player and I decided to play Seraphon because their aesthetic is just phenomenal. And then I went online and won an Ebay auction which gave me some models, and I bought the start collecting box to bolster. However, I am having trouble putting together a 1000 point army because I have no experience with the game and I don't really know what I am doing. Below I'll post what I have at my disposal and I was wondering if then the community might help? This site came highly recommended from people and I can't wait to dive into the forums. The stuff I have is as follows:

-The start collecting box (went with old blood on a carnosaur)

-8 additional saurus knights

-A salamander with three handlers

-A full box of 24 skinks with blowguns

-An additional 31 miscellaneous skinks

-Three stegadons

-Three ripperdactyl riders

-34 Saurus Guard

-And a Skink Starpriest

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I can't wait to hear back from you guys. Thanks!

Welcome aboard,

Turn one of the knights into a Scarvet on coldone, make the Carny and make the priest into a skink priest, that is 500 points ish, 2 units of 10 skinks that is 160 points, rippers is 140, stegadon is 260, so you have plenty of options but go with something like this,

Scarvet on cold one 100
2*5 knights 240
2*10 Skinks 160
Skink starpriest 100
Stegadon 260
Rippers 140

Absolutely, you have 16 knights, so convert one to stand out and make it your scar-vet. Your oracle from the Carno/Trog kit could be a skink chief.
If you want some fairly easy chameleons, they are easy to convert from the regular skinks.
For collecting I would pick up 2 more sallies and a Bastiladon or two.

I may be missing something in that final list, but dont you need 3 units of knights to run the firelance starhost?

No your correct @Bowser has made a tiny mistake, so I would go....

Skink Starpriest (100)
Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold one (100)
- General
- Warblade
- Trait: Legendary Fighter
- Artefact: Quicksilver Potion

Battleline
5 x Saurus Knights (120)
- Lances
5 x Saurus Knights (120)
- Lances
5 x Saurus Knights (120)
- Lances
5 x Chameleon skinks (120)

Behemoths
Stegadon (260)

Battalions
Firelance Starhost (60)

Total: 1000/1000

2 x 5 Knights (240)
1 Stegadon
1 Stegadon (520)
3 x Rippers (140)
1 x Starpriest (100)

the stegs will buff each other, then roll the battlefield with multiple charges.

Pretty effective list either way I would say with 3 squads of knights, and some chameleon skinks. Im just waiting for the skinks to come back on order on the GW site here in Au (theyre out of stock still!)
