So just wanted to hear your thoughts on my list for next weekends 6 round etc style tournament.

personally I think I might have made a mistake by not taking a scar vet on cold one with magical att, as it is swiss draw I might face some ethereal VC. other then that I think the list is pritty all-round.

I am still learning how best to use the big units of skrox. I often find myself debating keeping them 6 wide for steadfast or to swift reforming as wide as possible for maximal shots. how do you resolve this?

I played one game with light now and was verry happy with all the buffs the lore has. I even considered running a dubble light slann with mystery on one, but i think this might be better when you can steer the draw slightly. any thoughts?

A Nice list, but I'd find some points to give the 10 man squads musicians to.
As for the Euro comp, I rather take 2 Dispel scrolls(Cube of Darnkess) instead of the Cogitation discipline. Put another Rumination on the Death Slann.
Skrox units are Great, but they are more of an Hammer type of unit, that attacks from a Flank. Also 26 is a Good unit size than 36.
And I would suggest to use some Scar vets on cold ones... they rock

Thanks for the feedback, as said I'm still working out the fine details for the skrox units. so i will defnitly try them next in units of 26 or 24(ranks up neeter) skinks.

I agree that scroll and Cube are better then becalming, but they cost a wopping 200 pts extra for basicly only 2 scrolls, you cant channel extra PD/DD and the death slaan already has a -3LD debuff. so the skinks are going to be expensive flee traps. as for taking renumeration twice, I can only use an extra 2 PD per turn. so that seems like a waste. ethereal or all spells are good options tho.

Yes, you can only add 2 dice. But You cast spells that you need, not all spells right? So I'd use 2x Rumination, and be sure that I will cast the spell that I want
If you want cogitation, than don't use it on a BSB. The Light Spells have a larger range and the Slann with Light could be the BSB. (After all You don't use Plaque of protection or Etheral so It's easy to kill the Slann:/)

my thinking on the BSB death slann is that because of flaming banner he might be closer to enemy to negate regen. thus making him the better choise for death. This might be wrong as how manny regen units are you going to meet? in that case it might be better swapping bsb. Also my slann hasnt seen combat yet with 3 units of terradons and mass skinks.

In my opinion renumaration lets you cast one more spell per turn, an extra renumeration wont improve this. I do agree that I will need to cast at leest 2 spells from light to get this effect, but with timewarp, banishment, and net this shooldent be hard. noboddy wants sallies runnen around their flank and toasting them. net and banishment can be situational, but i dont mind taking a chance on banishment with 2 dice. so i think lore of light will always have 2 good spell to cast, costing only 3/4 dice this leaves me on average 3/4 dice for death. witch can be 1 or 2 spells depending. so yes 2xrenumaration is more flexible but the downside is I am going to have to invest in skink spriests with scroll's.

I have played becalming and scroll/cube a couple of time and I must agree that scroll and cube is much more reliable/effective as becalming. so the question is is the 200pts extra worth 2 scrolls and more flexibility in the magic phase, or am i better of spending it om more fire power or scar vet/krox? Or just take one scroll/qube, at least then I have 3 channel attempts each dispel phase instead of 4 wasted ones?

by the way I realy dont agree that 5 wound with 4+ward die easily, especially in a bog blok of skinks?

Here in Poland a Light Slann is a tier 1 chocice. I don't know why, too me you have to have other mages, so that the Banishmen can be effective. And belive me there are a lot of units with Regen, esp on Euro: Hydra, Abomb, Crypt Horros, Trolls, just to show. Ofcourse half of the Vs army, has Regen, Ogres have Regen. And there are some flamable units that are tough... So the banner of flaming death is handy!
