I'm constantly flipping between Eldar and the Lizzardmen these days. Two major updates to two armies I collect. As it stands though I've the lizardmen out on my hobby table to work on. I've put together the following 2k list. It is assembled and trays built but for the bastilidon. Also nearly have all my core models plus the ancient steg and salamanders painted. So my goal first is to get an assembled and painted army going as quick as possible.
Here is the list:
Lord:
Slann - BsB, Standard of Discipline, +5 on channel dice, rolls 2 dice when channeling.
Hero:
Skink Priest - Cloak of Feathers, Dispell Scroll
Core:
30 Saurus Warriors - Spears, Full Command
2 x 10 Skirmishers - Blow Pipes
Special:
20 Temple Guard - Flame Banner
2 x 5 Chamo Skinks
Bastilidon
Rare:
Ancient Steg - Sharpened Horns
2 Salamanders
Total Points: 2k
Any good? Keep in mind I don't need to absolutly min/max but I would like to have a solid list. Any insights or feed back would be appreciated. Below is a photo of the current state of the army:
I've included it because I was also hoping to get some feedback on how I might deploy the army. Forgetting about the chamo skinks is the arrangement optimal? I was thinking if I keep the slan and temple guard block behind my sarus warrior block I can buff my whole army with the slann and take the most advantage of the BsB. Also with walk between worlds I figure I could move the temple guard to a better position when required. Any way thanks for reading and please comment.
