AoS Battleshock and Cold-Blooded

Guys, the cold-blooded rule states clearly on page 55 that we ignore modifiers to bravery both positive and negative, while on page 5 of the core rulebook it says that slain models are a modifier to the bravery roll.

I know it is probably intended not to work in a broken way together, but it seems pretty clear that we can't have fleeing models almost ever?

You are immune to banners, spells etc. that modifies your Bravery. A battleshock test is something different.

Your Bravery is 5 - This cant be changed as per above.
You lost 5 dudes.
You roll a 1 = You add the amount of dead guys to the dice roll = 6. 1 guy will run from battleshock.

Third paragraph of the Battleshock Phase rules directly say it is a modifier though,

If the modified battleshock roll is
greater than the unit’s modified
Bravery characteristic, the
battleshock test has been failed.

Edit: I know I'm probably wrong, but I'd like to know how and why more precisely.

I dont see how that is relevant to a battleshock test. You have 2 numbers and compare them. One cant be modified, the other can still be.

To battle shock rolls not to bravery. It also means you miss out on the bravery buff for having more than 10 models.

Aside from the fluff it's also a fairly meaningless rule. With the exception of some very specific builds it's very rare to have a lot of bravery modifiers anyway for most armies. Which means that against most armies it stops the effect of 1 whole banner or something. Which is just super underwhelming. Hell, mirror matches are probably where you'd get the most use out of it ironically given that we have a fair amount of modifiers...
