7th Ed. Banners

I have looked over nearly every army posted in the "army list" section and was just curious as to what are peoples favorites? I know that Haunchi's is good for a shock charge, I am personally a fan of the Jaguar Totem for that almost guarenteed (spelling?) rundown. Does anyone take a warbanner? Is it effective to add a BSB for a cool banner combo? Would adding the Prophecy totem to an already fear causing unit result in a terror causing unit? Thank you bretheren

Haunchi's Totem is my favorite Banner, Jaguar Totem is my favorite Item, I do like the Warbanner for my Stubborn Temple Guard Unit. And lastly no, added the totem of prophecy does not make a fear causing unit cause terror, it would have no effect.

@Craken: I believe you are confusing the Jaguar Totem (a magic banner) with the Jaguar Pendent (an enchanted item).

@Doom Lizard: Yes, unfortunately Lizardmen have a very limited banner selection (and indeed item selection in general). Unfortunately, the totem of prophecy does not stack. It must say explicitely in the spell/item/banner's profile for it to act in that way.

The war banner is probably the best banner out there as far as bang for your buck. Although it is useful on SCOR to break larger units, probably its best use is, as you said, on a BSB. A Saurus BSB on a cold one can do wonders charging units on its own (although you dont nullify ranks, dont forget that you still get +2 for rear and +1 for flank). On a Slann BSB a war banner is a great option (assuming you do not play against fear-causers), as you have a +2 to CR that can not be targeted like a normal BSB can.

Known to everybody and still feared for it's effectiveness. That's saying something!

The warbanner is great, but thet's an common magic item, a powerfull one especially in combo with some more SCR, but common non the less.
