AoS Balewind proxy?

Hey there! New account but lurking a little while. I've been seeing many army lists fot seraphon include the Balewind Vortex yet its nearly impossible to find, how is everyone getting them? Or is it just a really good proxy everyone is using?

most of us have had them for a while it's just one of the better endless spell. no idea why GW stopped selling them.
proxies would be difficult as the balewind does not have a standard base and it's to new for 3rd party to star making... copies

That's very true, I saw one in stores a year ago when I only ran FEC, and now I regret passing on it. I've seen some custom proxies but I feel weird about not having the exact dimensions for the base

I would try to find someone who owns one already. If they are nice they might let you trace the base onto a piece of plastic card. You can then use that as a base foot print to make your own from scratch with armature wire, sculpting material, and plastic card.

to be fair, i find that it's usefulness for us has greatly diminished for 2 reasons:
1 - no more spell slots conversion to buff summoning
2 - Bound spells, which makes predatory spell MUCH more interesting.

BW once was a staple in our lists but actually you can do pretty well without it.
Yeah, it's still a good spell, but no more a must have and no more the best endless spell we can pick.
