Is it just me or is it a very uncommon sight to see this magic amulet (aura of Quetzl) on the table?
I find myself loving the -1 to hit in CC. sure the price is pretty steep, but we can still have a really well kitted hero with this item and the Venom of the Firefly Frog or the Biting Blade.
Here are a few set ups I use fairly frequently and they seem to work for me.
Skink Chief, terradon, LA, Shield, Spear, AoQ, VotFF.
Comming in at 135 points, this little fella is a versatile character and is surprisingly survivable for his low AR.
Scar Vet, LA, Shield, Spear, Cold One, AoC, VotFF. This guy doesn't have the same punch as a BBoC ScarVet, but for fighting anything that does not have a 3+ or better AS he does just as well, or even better. I find this particular build is great for taking out those scary monsters, as he will auto wound on 6's AND his strength is high enough to lay the beats down. Additionally the monsters generally have a poor WS so the -1 to hit in CC (Note that it is not -1 WS) really hurts their chance to get a hit in, let alone a hit that will hurt him. He is also very mobile on the cold one so he will have no trouble going to were he is needed.
These are just a few set ups, but what I want to know is why people do not seem to bring the Aura of Quetzl out much?
