My goal with this topic is to discuss the various assassins creed games, thier pros and cons, enjoyable moments, etc.

Personally, the only two games i have not played are Rogue (which is not a priority being a separate story line) and Syndicate (which I want to play, is on the steam sale currently for $20, but broke me is broke)

Unity was a technical mess, but they patched most of the issues and it was a fun run through napoleonic paris. the main character was badly written though

black flag was awesome. end of story

i actually liked assassins creed 3. while Connor was a bit wierd, the gameplay was solid for me, although i wish we would have been able to charge a redcoat firing line like in the cinematic.

Ezio games were all solid and solidified my love for the series, even the modern day storyline.

original game was touch and go, but enjoyable.

I loved these games. I have only played a few, and all of them I got for about 75% off on Steam.

Original Game: I played this while I was studying the crusades for my bachelor's thesis. Seeing a "present day" city of Jerusalem, as well as Damascus and Acre, and knowing much about the actual events of the era was inspired (though of course the authors of the game had taken huge license to make changes, it was still amazing!)

Brotherhood: Also loved this game. Rome is beautiful, and this 3rd-person game was so inspired! I spent so much time exploring the city that I never did actually finish it. I will go back and reconquer the city someday. I watched my roommate play this game and just explore the city for hours at a time, that is what inspired me to get these games.

Assassins Creed 3: I got this game because of the trailer; silly me I bought into the pro-America hype that the trailer seemed to present. What I found was a much deeper storyline that painted both sides of the conflict in deep shades of grey. I know there were a lot of complaints about the main character, but I loved playing an assassin stuck in between events he tried to control but really didn't understand.

Running through Boston and New York killing redcoats was also awesome.

Black Flag: so I have owned this one for a while, but haven't played it yet. I need to get a stronger computer first. But the graphics looked amazing, I am looking forward too it!

I hear there is a new "Origins" trailer taking place in ancient Egypt? Pardon me while I go find it.

This one does look interesting...

I hope its good. I would enjoy one more about the ancient Mayas of course.

Or one of 1930s-1940s China in Shanghai or along the Yangtze river, fighting the corruption of the Chinese KMT and the Green Gang on one side, and the imminent Japanese invasion on the other... that would be awesome :wideyed:

Correct, origins takes place in ancient (i.e.pre ptolemy) Egypt. The character is an assassin, but also one of the medje

I think ubisoft is referencing the order of the Magi which is a fictional group from The Mummy series. You know the Arabic dude from the first couple mummy movies that's wearing all black and has two scimitars? He is a magi

Ah I sorta remember. I wasn't a big fan of most of those movies...

But I was a big fan of Adventures Legos as a kid, so I am hoping this game is this awesome (though sadly without the Indiana Jones references)
