That one with Kroak, Slann and two Astroliths is hilarious. Can someone explain to me the appeal of Dracothion's Tail? Is it just minimizing the number of drops that makes it popular?
Yea, I was wondering that too. Personally, I'd much rather try to scrounge up another 10pts to upgrade a 5-man knight unit to 10, rather than take the battalion for the drops. In another army I could see the value, but when Seraphon already has Masters of Space and Time it seems over-rated.
Being able to essentially guarantee first turn is a massive benefit.
How does Dracothian's Tail guarantee first turn?

Oh thats mine, was something I was playing around with. Worked pretty well, theres a lot of summoning points to be had and its pretty versatile. Still missed my thunderquake though.
Why have two astrolith bearers instead of one? My gut reaction is that it's bit spendy at 160pts per. Was for a back-up for the D3 Celestial Conjuration pts, or one for the +1 to cast for the Slann and one for battleline rerolls, or what?
They stack. With balewind its minimum 25" on deliverance. The redundancy isnt really relevent as the d3 is just a bonus and you already have two slann.
Wow, that seems ... a little OP.
Conjuration doesn'tWait, Astroliths stack?
Er...somehow I feel like that will get FAQ'd. If not though, that's completely absurd. At least their conjuration generation doesn't lmao.
Oh I know, I just meant I think they will change the spellcasting buff to the same wording of 'one or more'. Cos +2 casting and +16" range on every spell is a little absurd.
What are your thoughts on the nerfs that kroak and the astrolith brearer got with the new faq? Still good?
Thats sad, he should be one of the most powerful castersHa, no. Hes pretty much never going to see play again. Too expensive for very little damage output. Combination of a series of nerfs when only one or two were needed.
