8th Ed. Advice needed!

Hi, all! I'm A new LM player, and will be wanting/needing advice for both 8e and AoS, please.
Bullet point bio:
I've been involved in WFB since 3e
Played the most in 4/5e
Have not played since then, but was dragged kicking and screaming into 8e by an old friend.
Decided to collect the other 3 forces of Order that l didn't have (Lizardmen, elves)
I'd never gotten rid of my saurus (20, hand weapons) and skinks (34) from the LM/Bret starter set from 5e, so that was my starting force. The skinks have bows, but will work as blowpipes.

I have since acquired:
A Slann Mage
Tehenhauin
A skink chief
10 Temple Guard
20 saurus (planning on spears for them)
12 skinks w/blowpipes (planning on using as chameleons)
16 COR
In the mail heading my way are Kroq-gar and a stegadon.

Other than some special characters that l want (Kroak, etc.) is there anything more l really need?

Question 2: any advice on tactics for either game?

Your current options for games are
.AoS: Totally different game than Fantasy. No ranked up units
.9th Age: A modified version of 8th ed.
.Kings of War: Mantic's fantasy game. Ruleset seems like streamlined version of 7th ed. Games are faster paced but the movement tactics are more present than any of the other options

I would go 9th Age or Kings of War as they keep that ranked up units. My area went with Kings of War so thats what i went with and i am very happy with it. I proabably would be happy with 9th Age as well but AoS is not my cup o tea

For WHFB 8th or the 9th age is also get 1 more box of skinks and 1 more box of templeguards.

Thanks! I figured more temple guard, though more skinks surprised me. That's why I am here.

Thanks. My friend and l will do 8th still, some, anyway, and l hear that a group nearby is sticking with 8th, so l am ok there. I'll definitely look into 9th age and KoW though. I'm Open to AoS, but only as a non serious diversion.
