8th Ed. 8th Ed Army Book question

Hi all

I am a returning player who last played at the very beginning of 7th Edition.

My son has an uncompleted Lizardmen Army and 7th Ed Army Book, which I am commandeering as he isn't interested anymore and wondered if there was any major differences between that and the 8th Ed. I do intend to get the latest book, but wanted to spend what little gold I have on pulling the army together first and at £30 I'm gonna be haunting eBay rather than GW.

I wondered if the 7th Ed book was OK to start creating the basis for my Lizzie army. I have noticed that there are now Ripperdactyls and trogs available now, but a lot seems similar and I intend to use the kits my son had accumulated before getting any more. I'm not asking for a breakdown of costs etc, just for a heads up if there are any major changes in the 7th ed units I should be aware of just while I climb back in the saddle.

Hopefully I'm not asking anything I shouldn't be, but feel free to whack me down if I am

In all honesty just download the book on a torrent site and get the book when the money is there.

First off, I'm sorry you're getting back into the hobby right now. There is a lot of fluff and rules changes happening and nobody really knows what to expect from all of the rumors floating around. Could be bad, might not. Don't know. But all of the indications are that a new, 9th edition is just around the corner.

Second, shame on you guys for suggesting piracy.

Third, I'd totally do what they said.

Id suggest you to wait 9th to come out before making any purchases. I started my 2nd army, but when the rumors started to spread, I had to delay everything to make sure my money is not wasted. At least my 2nd army has better chances of survival, woc, and some other chaos merging into it. Id welcome a doombull to aid throgg
