ok guys the special rule of this lore is that for each casualty you roll d6 and on 5+(or 6+, not sure) you get another PD. but the problem is that all but one spell kills only one guy (probably character most of the time).

6: The Purple Sun of Xereus. Magical Vortex, Remains in Play. Place the small template in base contact with the caster and roll the artillery dice. Multiply result by 3. The result is the number of inches the template moves. Each model touched by the template, except for the wizard himself, has to pass an Initiative test or is removed from play. No saves are allowed. If you roll a misfire, place the template above the caster himself, roll a scatter dice and 1D6. The result is the number of inches the template is moved away from the caster.

The template moves at the end of each following magic phase, roll the artillery dice and a scatter dice to determine direction and range. If you roll a misfire the template is removed. The scaled up version uses the 5 " template instead.

and this could deal more casualtys that would give us few PD. but the problem is the I test. if you scater padly tou can kill hell alot of saurus.

my idea is to put lonly slann far away from saurus and use the upgraded version of that spell in the first turn. and then in other turns we would be able to get more pd for casting and we would have slann a potential char killer.

comments?

EDIT:

not to mention that the spell needs only 15+ so we would have about 50% of casting it with slann with only 2 PD

We'll have to see the new rules, but I think solo characters will have trouble surviving unless they can get the heck out of the way. The character sniping spells are mostly 12 inches, so you will be getting a bit close, though you can power them up for more range. The problem with the initiative spell is it will be fairly ineffective against most elves, and it is really your only big damage spell.
