8th Ed. 500 pt Free For All

Happy Canada Day everyone!

So I'm trying my first 500 point game next week (7th edition, but any advice is appreciated!) and its scheduled to be a Free-for-all with 3 other players.

I made one list:
Scar-Vet
LA
Maiming Shield

17 Saurus
FC
Spears

10 Stinky Skirmishers

Sally

But this seems pretty bare bones. Another fear of mine is the power-gaming Daemon player is going to go Nurgle lvl 4 caster and meatshield.. Which my list wouldn't be able to handle.

So I drafted up this concoction to just dance around any other non-cavalry units and to have some magical offense.

Blood Statuette of Spite
Venom of the Firefly Frog
Talisman of Protection (6+)


Skink Priest
Lvl 2
Plaque of Tepok
Cloak of Feathers

Is this list unfeasible? Should I just stick with the first one and hope?

I like the first list but I would take off spears on the sarus and take off the Full C, you need the points. Then add more saurus so you have 20 for ranks.

For the scar vet I would take off the maiming shield and put on Gw LA and shield. With remaining points add a bare skink preist to deal wit magic
