8th Ed. 500 point List

Ok Veterans,
I have been attempting to design armies in various point brackets. I have yet to play my Lizards so I will be learning - hopefully I will be a quick study. I have just started to assemble my Liz minis so I wanted to get a 500 pt army of "MY" stuff out in order to play. Here is my concept, please give me any feedback and input you might have.

Skink Priest: Lv1 plaque of Topek

15 Saurus Warriors 3ranks 5 wide
Champion, Banner, Musician (is this what is called "full comand"?)

12 Chameleons 2x6 (2 groups of 6, is this the correct way to abreviate?)

1 Salamander Hunting Pack w/ extra skink Handler.

My point total came to 499. This is a generic army - no specific enemy in mind.

quick question, why 2 units of camo skinks? in a 500pt game there shouldnt be too many warmachines and such if you stick to % rules.

My thought was to have a effective "run and gun" calvary force. I like the idea that the Chameleons are able to harass better then the Skinks. If the Skinks are more effective could you post an example?

camo skinks are definitly more effective, especially since you'll have them deployed 12" away from your opponent. my only concern would be if facing multiple units of cheap infantry and taking 2 charges on your saurus unit, especially in 8th where ranks seem to be everything. the sally should be able to cause quite a few casaulities, and if lucky cause panic.

in all honesty, when it doubt, play test the list.
500 points wont be that long of a game.
