Your slann does not need either of those disciplines in a unit of 40 TG (which is very expensive as well). 40 TG will protect him from almost anything (as far as CC goes). He will also get a +2 los role. Take Becalming cogitation, mystery, and rumination.

im thinking that though the disapline that makes me immune to non magical cc and shooting it stops for example an empire cannon hiting the slann it wounding me and multiplying it into d6 wounds

Slans troop type is Infantry , so in a unit of Temple Guard you benefit from the "Look out Sir" rule

Save points from those disciplines and add some chameleons maybe

You have a slow army, with no shooting/skirmishers to help your big blocks of infantry make it to the ennemy. Unless you are facing a pure close combat army, you'll more than likely end up having trouble picking up the fights you want while your opponent slowly weed-out your troops.
