Just looking for a bit of feedback on this list idea I've had, mainly on how to refine it as it is probably below average as a first attempt...

The main thing I wanted that I didn't put in was BSB on the Slann (hit 25% lords already), so I put it on the scar veteran instead, but originally I had another 5 Cold One Cavalry instead of this guy. I don't know which is better to have, maybe even another 3 Salamanders instead. I also wanted at least one skink priest but the points just aren't available, I wasn't planning to go magic heavy but using lore of light having a second spot the Slann can cast from means I don't have to group my units together for magic bonuses.

I don't want to change my lords setup because I want the 8 attacks Carnosaur Lord and the Light Slann, the idea being that the old blood goes after small units and flankers, while I use the stegadon to draw the enemies attention off him.

Did you really mean the giant blade for your Oldblood? That's +3 strength. The sword of bloodshed is +3 attacks.

If you really want to run your Oldblood with just a 2+ armor save and no ward I suggest you drop the light armor in favor of the Charmed Shield and Ironcurse Icon.

How did you get your Scar Vet BSB over 200 points??? The most expensive build I can think of (cold one, bsb, rampagers standard, light armor, shield and a great weapon) clocks in at 199.

10 chameleons in one unit is unwieldy. Consider 2 units of 6-8.

The banner of eternal flame on your TG could end up being worth its weight in gold.

I like the concept, IMO it just needs a little tweak.

Just my $0.02.

You might want to consider dropping the stegadon, and using the points to up you CoC to 8 or 10. then using the remaining points to split your chams into two smaller units of 6-8 as magician said. The single Steg will just attract all the firepower.

This is just my personal preference, but if you could get together the points, and have 2 skrox units each with 2 kroxigors in them, instead of the 1 unit with 3 krox in it, you might find it will be handy in alot of situations.

This would mean that your enemies are looking at a few different units to hit with their firepower.

Hmmm... a list like this might be fairly decent with the lore of Beast... :smug:

n810: Can you explain the reasons behind your comment please? I was looking to play offensively so the Light boosts will work well compared to Life, I didn't really consider beasts...maybe I overlooked it.

xpotec - I want the Stegadon in, both to draw attention off the Carnosaur and Slann, and to hopefully run in alongside the cavalry to hold enemy units up. That and because I already bought the model for one.

Regarding the points and the second mixed unit, I think I have miscalculated on the Scar Veteran so I will tweak that and see what I can do with the Kroxigors.

Here's the second attempt after a bit of tweaking taking the advice above into consideration...

- I think the enchanted shield giving 1+ armour save will be better overall than the effect of the charmed shield, maybe I am wrong?

- I had to drop the BSB to fit the points in the limit. I did want it on the Slann anyway but I'm not sure how to squeeze it in there now?

(I could drop the Sword of Bloodshed for the Sword of Strife (-1A, -20pts) and drop the Ironcurse Icon on the Oldblood to fit in the BSB on the Slann?)

- I've kept Special and Rare the same for now in favour of moving stuff around in core to fit in the Skink Priest and to split the Kroxigor units up as mentioned, added a banner to the other Saurus, reduced the number of skink skirmishers.

- Which Lore would be best for use on this Slann?

a great asset would be the EOTG, if you remove your scar vet, you can make you skink priest a lv2, and then replace your stegadon with an EOTG ancient stegadon. you fall short by a few points.

Those point can come from your skink skimishers(its 10 min in a unit) so if u combine the 2 units of 6 and take out 2, you spare up some points for the EOTG and you make the unit legitimate.

Overall i do like the list a fair bit
