8th Ed. 2k list vs Dark Elves

Hey i am new to playing lizardmen but i mostly fight dark elves

Slann BSB (Life) (with TG)

Scar-Saurus Veteran (With Saurus)
Sword of Might
Luckstone
(light armor, shield)

19 x Temple Guard
Champion, Musician

30 x Skinks w FC

30 x Saurus Warriors with FC

Stegadon

6 x chameleon skinks

6 x chameleon skinks

Salamander hunting party

Salmander hunting party

Plan is to have TG block w/ slann in the middle with the blocks of skinks and suarus on either side. Stegadon would be on one flank with one salamader while other salamander is on the other flank

total points = 1999

I'd say the skinks are near useless. Even Skavenslaves will beat them in close combat.

If you must use skinks, use them in Skrox units or as skirmishers. Other than that it looks fine. My 2k list is similar, except that I've geared my scar vet towards rank and file slaying (sword of battle + maiming shield = 6 attacks).

Skavenslaves almost beat anything in combat (in terms of keeping it held up) I think it would benefit from the punch of a skink chief with tools or some Kroxigors, this would work really well with lore of life. Other than that I would maybe try and squeeze some terradons in as they are great against crossbow men
