ok, so this is the list that my 1k point army is hopefully going to evolve into. Let me know what changes you think are necessary.

Slann Mage-Priest

So, I have 63 points left to spend and I was thinking about a couple of changes I could make.

#1. I could use the points on upgrades, like getting a warbanner on the CoR, or getting a standard bearer and the sun standard on the temple guard.

#2. I could drop a skink skirmisher from one unit and add another unit of 10 skirmishers

#3. I could drop the CoR riders for a Stegadon and add another unit of 10 skirmishers.
 
Well, with the lack of feedback, ill go ahead and put forth the option I am thinking of going with at this time.

Adding 2 Powerstones to the Slann and adding a standard and mus to the temple guard.

Any comments/criticisms?
 
Yeah sure the banner for the TG are a must. I'd also make your Slann BSB with the War Banner. This will not only make sure that the TG will almost never break from combat, it will also give them +2 to their combat resolution.

Make him a BSB for 25 points, a BSB is vital in 2k games, or even 1k imo.

Move the dispel scroll to the slann, no point this squishy guy carrying it instead of him

consider full command, except maybe a musician. A champion could save the lives of several TG with a challenge in a good few situations

Hmm the one thing missing is a terradon unit I guess, expensive models though... The only thing in this army that can deal with nasty light cavalry like dark riders or pistoliers is the slann, and terradons fill this hole as well as being war machine hunters/stallers
 
Do you think I would get more benefit out of the Teradon riders or the Cold One Riders?

If I drop the Riders I could get 2x3 Teradon units and still have points left over to spread around elsewhere.
