AoS 2k hunting pack

I've recently started Aos and played in my first tourney at the weekend,and since then I've been looking at attending more.

Theres a 2k 1 dayer relatively local to me,and it looks like it will be my last chance to attend one before I deploy next year.

To that end,I'm wanting to take a fun list and an army that will put me in standing for best army.

To that end,im thinking of the following.

2 starpriests
Astrolith bearer
Engine of the gods
Scar vet on carnosaur
Scar vet on cold one

3 x 5 knights
2 x dread saurians.


I'm under no impression that it will be a flop,I just want to put a fun army on the table.

That being said,I'm still not sure on the carnosaur variant and dropping the engine.

the engien is going to be a lot of help keeping those dreads alive i would trade the carnosaur for a slann to try for the healing rolls

this is effectively a makeshift thunderquake from hell. I like it, but one thing you will need to be SUPER cognizant of is the base size for the Dreads... its literally a piece of printer paper with rounded corners. that will make moving around terrain difficult, and maintaining range for the heals from the engine harder.

An alternative I'm think of is this:

2 x starpriests
Skink priest
3 x 10 skinks
2 stegadons
2 dread saurians
2 x 3 rippers


Good thing about this list is that I only need to paint my 2nd dread saurian

two priests for the staff ability is great, just remember that you can only use summon starlight once a turn, not on both dreads unfortunately.

Ok at the very least those games will be hilarious.
I've never seen two DS in a list.
