Hi guys. I'm trying to work out a monster mash list and could use some help on making it better. Id like it to be competitive enough to perform well in an upcoming tournament, but keep the fun factor alive. Im still new to the game so any advice is greatly appreciated

This list totals 2496 points. My generic plan is to use my general as unit breaker. Charge him into a unit, hopefully on the flank, and cause them scatter, letting him charge into another unit. Im concerned about getting my BSB shot off the table so i tried to make him as resilient as possible. My Bastiladon is there to boost initiative on the carnosaurs and will be played pretty aggressively. Other than that, I plan to stagger my skirmishers to speed bump the enemy while shooting them with lots of poison from their javelins and the ancient stegs. Hopefully softening them up enough that my stegs and saurus can finish them off.

You are 5 points over on magic items for your old blood and it makes me a little nervous that he has zero protection against warmachines. Aside from that it's not too bad, redirect with the skirmishers and try to double up your charges with the monsters. I wouldn't rely on them to take a unit one on one with steadfast and a poor charge roll could through your plans right out the window.

Thank you for the reply. I didn't realize I was over. I could do Piranha blade, stegadon helm, dragonbane gem, and luckstone instead. Losing Him to cannons makes me nervous too. Is there a hard hitting loadout that is a bit stronger versus cannons?

Since your old blood is more points I'd protect him over the hero on carnosaur. I'd give the old blood talisman of preservation and the charm shield with piranha blade. Hook up the hero with armor of destiny and a GW. Should be a fun duo with lots of high strength, multiple wound attacks.

Updated my list. its 2500 on the dot.
