8th Ed. 2400 Pts V.S VC's

Okay, so i'm playing VC's on monday, what do you think of my list?
I test played it against chaos on wednesday and won. He had throgg and 6 trolls, chaos nights, warriors, shaggoth, lord wizard...


Old Blood - light armour, shield, burning blade of chotec, carnasaur pendant, Glyph Necklace
Old Blood - armour of fortune (HA 5+ward), blade of tzunki

Both of these will go in the Saurus unit, the idea is that the flaming attack old blood will strike first rendering the grave guards regeneration redundant and then along with a co-charge from a steggy proceed to take his 1200pt unit down.

Skink Priest - Ancient Stegadon, Lv 2, Hex Scroll
This is the common magical item hex scroll hoping to turn Vlad into a toad. Also hoping Burning alignment does me a world of favours.

Skinks role is as always, the annoying one. just to get in the way and shoot perhaps the Varghulf with poison.
Saurus x 25 Spears, Full Command
My main anvil here, along with 2 oldbloods as noted above. Hopeful they should be able to take and give a fair amount of punishment

my hammer, simple as.

Ancient Stegadon
to deal with anything further that tries to take on my anvil

salamanders my friend. they are your friends

Also, i see very little reason not to take a slann, unless you want to gimp yourself for fluff reasons. Slann in 20 TG makes a REAL anvil, not at all like some saurus with oldbloods.
