8th Ed. 2400 points, getting back into the game

So I've been away for a while now and I've finally taken up my interest in Warhammer once again. Although I left in 8th ed, it was early on and things hadn't been fully worked out for armies. From the reading I've been doing here and elsewhere my old list won't do, so I've tried to make a new one. I never was a fan of skink priests doing nothing and the EotG is an even more cannon magnet now. Below is my first attempt to get back into 8th and as I know it may have many problems I'd really appreciate some constructive feedback. I really want to go for a combat army with the Slann buffing them and pumping out spells like nobody's business.

Slann - 3 disciplines (rumination, mystery, cogitation), bsb, standard of discipline, cupped hands, scroll LORE OF LIGHT

Scar Vet - light armour, shield, dawnstone, golden sigil sword, dragonhelm (in temple guard unit)

Scar Vet - cold one mount, light armour, shield, burning blade, talisman of protection, ironcurse icon (in a saurus unit, for challenges and give them more fightyness)

30 Saurus - full command, spears

30 Saurus - full command, spears

11 Skink Skirmishers

10 Skink Skirmishers

20 Temple Guard - full command

8 Chameleon Skinks

8 Chameleon Skinks

Adds up to a complete 2400. I'm not a fan of terradons and I think they're pretty expensive for what they can do now what with march blocking not being such a big issue anymore, at least one armies with reasonable leadership.

Looks good to me. A magic banner like the Razor Standard on your TG would be awesome. So maybe drop Spears and a few Saurus if you like that idea.

You'll be fine without Terradons. Your Chameleons will serve the same purpose unless you have some crafty tricks you like to play with them. You could split the Chameleons up into 2 units of 5 and one unit of 6 if you wanted to cover more area with them.
