8th Ed. 2400 Lizardmen (End Times)

Hello Lustria Online! I've been looking at this forum for a while now (recognising a few including Lizardmatt ) and have decided to join it as I start my Lizardmen Army once again for End Times, this time in a tale of Gamers at my local GW. We will be doing an escalation campaign from 600-2400pts over 4 months and I am looking at creating a blog on my progress if people are interested.

Please note, I am looking for this to be viewed from a semi competitive perspective as I'm a massive Saurus fanboy and really wanted to include units such as cold ones even though they may not be optimal. Let me know what you think and I'll start breaking it down into segments:

Couple of things, I really like Ripperdactyls and the chief, but I'm unsure of their place here, I need a hero for the first 600 (Hence the chief, so will need to replace him for a hero if he gets dropped), also, is the command on the TG fully necessary? Any help is appreciated.

I'm just shocked your a saurus fan, and yet you have no saurus characters.

Slann BSB channeling staff, Becalming cogitation, Harmonic convergence (You will get more dice both in your magic phase and there's, and dispel far more, even when playing the margins then you ever would with a scroll)

Skink chief, ripperdactyl, Spear LA enchanted shield, egg (I love this guy, hit and miss but fun as hell)
Scarvet CO GW Armour of Destiny (for shame, no LM list should be without this guy, you even have CoC)

Leaves 32 points. Could add a CoC, some more TG, a slann discipline. Or you could drop 2 TG and ironcurse and get yourself a lvl1 beast priest.
The heavy saurus list is very inspiring mate. Glory to the old ones!

How very coincidental, my local gaming group are doing pretty much the same escalation going from 600-2400 in 300 point chunks.

I am a big fan of your love for the Saurus. As much as I like running circles round things with skinks there is always something good about being able to march up the table and stand there pounding on stuff till it dies.

My list looks slightly different yours as I don't like putting too much faith into the magic phase, it seems far too random and I much prefer to stack the combat phase. So far my list is:

Oldblood
CO, Piranha Blade, Enchanted Shield, Dawnstone, Potion of Strength

Tetto'Eko
Skink Priest, lvl 2 Beasts (Hopefully this will be easy for my to manage the spells and still get the minor buffs I want)

11 Skink Skirmishers (Where my priest will sit, should be able to keep me beside the main blocks if I get Kadons or just provide Wyssans)

33 x Saurus Warriors (Delivery System for the Oldblood or ScarVets depending on who I'm playing against)
