7th Ed. 2250pts of Toad and Friends

No so long ago (a couple of months...) I decided to star a Lizardmen Army. Yeahhh!

I'm not a regular WHFB player, so I'm getting some trouble deciding what to buy...

Some issues. My nickname is "Sapo" (also, my forum name...) is the portuguese word for toad/Frog... and I want to keep an autobiographic themed list1 . Apart form that I like heavy magic lists... and I want some Dinos!!

So I came with this:

Slaan is a bit pricey...but this is a standard build...and 50pts are from DS. I'm considering drop something for a Club of Darkness.

I could drop the 2nd EoG for Chief in Steg.

I'm not sure about Salamander. My first version of the list had a 2nd block of saurus instead of the Salamanders... what do you think?

Hi Sapo,

You've got some pretty strong heroes there, two EOTG's will certainly scare most opponents. As for Saurus, I'm pretty old school and prefer blocks of infantry over too many smaller units even if they are pretty good. though its up to you.

Perhaps consider making your Slann the BSB and you'll have a practically immovable core. Good luck!

Terradons over chams IMO, though that is a personal choice.
Gret march blockers, WM-hunters and such, flankers and such.

Chams Vs Terries... it is a personal choice, really ...but since they cost the same points... I'll have some flexibility!

I disagree, Terradons are much more of a necessity than chameleons. Personal preference would be "just terradons" vs. "terradons with some chameleons too". My specials are 2 terradon units, 1 chameleon skink unit, and 1 CoR unit.

Terradon are better in some roles...especially in march blocking.

I've considered some alternative lists, but I want to keep Slaan/2xEOG Combo... or at at least 1xEoG+Chief with War Spear. Plus the Core choice that I want to keep as they are. Maybe I could drop 1 Saurus if I need points (since the Scar Vet will be in the unit...). I'm not a big fan of salamanders... so, I can drop them to get points.

So, assuming this, I have 280pts to spent in "something else".

I can had:

• second Saurus unit;
• 10 Chamaleon (or 4 Terradons) and 5 CoR;
• 10 Chamaleon (or 4 Terradons) and 2xSalamanders (2x1 Sallie w/ extra handler);
• 8 Chamaleon, 4 Terradons) and 1xSalamander with extra hanlder;

What do you think?
