Righto chaps, got my 1st Lizardmen battle coming up need advice on lores, tactics and anything else you oldbloods have acquired over the multitude of wars, battles and scraps you've had since the time of the old ones. Also is their any specific old one I should sacrifice a guinea pig to in order to attain victory? (just kidding! Guinea pigs aren't worthy of the old ones' attention!)
Thank you for your time and input fellow cold bloods.

10 is a pretty small amount of temple guard, 16-20 is a min.
If you don't have those just run him solo and etheral. High Elves wont have much to destroy him. Keep him within 3 inchs of a infrantry block and he'll have a 4+ LOS roll in addtion to the ward save.

Also you didn't list it but I assume the slann spent 25 pts to be the BSB?

Is he a BSB as well? BSB are IMO almost a requirement for all living armies. What lore do you like? Life and light are great but Death is very good for sniping those pesky characters. Provided they aren't bunkered up under the Banner of the World Dragon

Scar Veteran

Burning Blade of Chotec, Maiming Shield, light armour

If your opponent brings dragon princes then you are better off with a simple great weapon, VotFF and the Dragon Helm to maintain your AS.

20 Saurus Warriors

Spears, shields, full command 270pts

I have to agree with Eladimir, bring at least six more or go with out. Your Saurus units could use a few extra bodies anyway.

3 Terradons 90pts

Stegadon 235pts

2 Salamander Hunting Packs 150pts

Split these into two units and maybe add the extra handlerr for insurance. Keep them away form the Dragon Princes!

TOTAL: 2000pts

Yeah he is BSB sorry about that, hmmm so I'll lose temple guard, beef up Saurus to 24ish(?) and add extra handlers to sallies, would another scar vet be a good idea? Maybe a Skink priest to channel spells through perhaps? I don't have the temple guard yeti thought I'd ask you guys about this list prior to purchasing. Thanks fellas you've been a great help so far, as for lore I think I'll go shadow as my opponent bears a couple of irritating characters in his ranks ;)

Etherieal and Rumination are the top two disciplines I would think about if you're going to stick with just two on the Slann.

An extra Vet would help bolster your Saurus units. I would also consider a CO mounted Vet with LA, GW, Luck Stone, Crown of Command and Dragon Helm. He wont get Look Out Sir! rolls from near by units but with a (once re-rollable) 1+ AS and Stubborn on Coldblooded 8 he's great for tying up that death star or horde you might be worried about. If you see many Etherial units in your area you might want to drop the Luck Stone, Dragon Helm and GW in favor of Enchanted Shield and Biting Blade (or Relic Blade if you fight a lot of TKs as well).

Cool scar vet on cold one sounds good, gives me a chance to flex my conversion- creating muscles haha also what tactics can you offer with Terradons? I've never fielded them before I figured I'd attack the bolt thrower(s) my opponent never leaves home without and maybe as flank guardsmen but other than that I can't find another use for them, just found out the battle takes place in lustria (my table) so I got the terrain advantage yey! Thanks guys I owe you if I win this game :)

I never use terradons, as I have never gotten around to buying them. They are fast cav, flyers, and forest striders. You should be able to get a second round charge and win vs. RBTs. As. Forest strider you can fly into forest for cover and anything that may charge you won't be steadfast if your in there. After you take care of the crew fly over and drop rocks on Sword Masters and archers then combo/flank when the time is right. Happy hunting!

Thanks Shotgun i'll try and upload pics if I get the chance, great to finally have a place full of useful advice thanks fellas
