7th Ed. 2000pt Balanced Lizards

Hey folks.

I'm debating trying my hand at WHFB again. I've been out of the game for... since before 7th was released. So what, a year or so? I had a brief foray into Daemons before porting them over to 40k.

Of the armies I'm considering, the #1 is Lizards. Other ones are LD Bomb Slaanesh Daemons and Abyssal-lead VC. I figured I'd play an army that's still a contender... but not one of the top tier.

415 - Slaan: Mystery, Rumination, Bane Head, 2x Dispel Scrolls.
435 - Priest: Level 2, Engine of the Gods, Plaque of Tepok, Wardrums of Xahotec.
126 - Scar-Vet: Great Weapon, Shield, Light Armour, Charm of the Jaguar Warrior.

183 - 15 Saurus: Musician, Standard.
183 - 15 Saurus: Musician, Standard.
50 - 10 Skinks.
50 - 10 Skinks.
70 - 10 Skink Skirmishers.
70 - 10 Skink Skirmishers.

90 - 3 Terradons.
90 - 3 Terradons.

235 - Stegadon.

9 Power, 1 Bound, Rumination.
6 Dispel, 2 Scrolls.
80 models.

Tactics are pretty simple.

Slaan will either join or hide behind/around Saurus.
Generally refuse-flank with both Stegs on the flank.
Skinks will redirect for Saurus.

I'd consider dropping the Wardrums for BSB on the Slaan.

Any thoughts before I start purchasing?

BsB is must , increases dramaticaly ur % to stay on any close combat (either u lose lot the fight or no)

War drums on the other hand isnt bad , specialy on ur engine , is somethink ur oponents dont expect it so u can surpise them easily , with a march and the burning alignment.
maybe is better to have ur hero on cold one so u can get 1 unit warriors immunity on fear and gife him sword of might or somethink similar (and bane head or carnosaur pendant).Also i think slan is a bit unprotected, u need divine plaque (drop the bane head from Slan) or make him ethereal, on tournaments u ll meet for sure a gun line (empire , dwarfs , dark elves ,skaven etc) u need protection on range attacks.
My general view for ur list is that is good for 2k.
