There's a campaign going on at my local GW store and I'm thinking of trying something outside of the norm of my usual Lizardmen lists. Leaving the Slann at home and going on a Saurus heavy force, commanded by an Old One.
What I've got so far...
20 Saurus Warriors with Hand Weapons and Full Command
20 Saurus Warriors with Spears and Full Command
20 Temple Guard again with Full Command
9 Cold One Cavalry, Full Command
Total so far: 1240 pts
I'm going to have two Saurus characters, a Lord and Hero, and can't decide which one to stick with the Cavalry and which to stick with my Temple Guard, one of the things I'd like help with. Though, I'm leaning toward having the Lord on foot with my Temple Guard.
As for my remaining points, after the above is worked out, and magic banners (and maybe something for the Temple Guard Champion), I'm thinking of taking a Skink Priest or, so I'm not totally at the mercy of my enemy when their magic phase comes along.
Because of the nature of the campaign I'm not really sure what I'm going to be facing, or the mission I'm playing, and want to have something tough but balanced to set down. But just to be clear, I'm not going to be forced to use the same list every game.
