Hey Y'all. First post, let's make it count.
Basically I've got a list written up and... er, you prolly figured out what it was from the title, so let's get on with it.
Lords and Heroes-868
Slann w/ 2 Disciples, Power Stone, Diadem of Power, Divine Plaque of Protection
Skink Priest, Level 2, Plaque of Tepok, Bane Head, Engine of the Gods
Scar-Veteran, Shield, Light, Piranha Blade, Cold One
Core- 616
15 Saurus, Spear, Full-Command
15 Saurus, Spear, Full-Command
14 Skink Skirmishers
14 Skink Skirmishers
Special- 510
5 Cavalry, Full Command, Plaque of Dominion
10 Temple Guard, Full Command, Sun Standard of Chotec
Right of the bat the main problem I see with this list is the amount of points I'm sinking into the Lords and Heroes. Then again, most of that comes from the EotG and the Slann, both of which will, I think, pull their own weight once they get to the tabletop. Originally had 2 Units of Skinks 10 strong and 2 jungle swarms, only because I just didn't want to give GW any more money than I had to. I'll just have to deal, I suppose. Maybe salvage some of my old Bloodbowl Skinks...
The Saurus would be the core combat blocks. I'm thinking about pulling the veteran off his cold one and putting him in combat instead of with the CO. That's about three or four extra skinks or two more saurus each. The Skinks I'd use as mobile weapons platforms, skirmish through the terrain and poison the enemy's own CQC units before my Saurus get there.
The CO would be my own anti-magic unit with the Plaque of Dominion. The TG would, of course, be there for my Slann, who would be magicing merrily away along with my Priest.
I still have my doubts about the EotG, but what I really love about it is in one magic phase I'd have a mobile platform through which my Slann can channel, the priest's own magic (made all the merrier by the EotG's boosts to Casting, etc), and buff my units, mages, or fry the opposition. That said, it's not too bad in combat, either.
