8th Ed. 2000 point tourney list

Hi, I'm relatively new to lizardmen, I've been playing warhammer fantasy off and on for about 2 months now (working on my chaos marines more than lizards) and so far I've played almost exclusively at 1000 points so far. I was hoping to get some pointers on this list, and I have the money to buy a box or two if I'm really missing something. Also I don't really understand the bsb concept. Here is what I came up with.

LORDS

Slann Mage priest w/ cupped hands, focus of mystery, and focused rumination - 370

HEROES

Skink priest on engine of the gods with dispel scroll - 380

CORE

24 Saurus (6across 4 back w/ hw shield, banner and musician) x2 - 282 per block, 564 total

SPECIAL

20 temple guard (6x4) w/ standard and musician - 341

Stegadon - copyrights? Since he can't be upgraded

RARE

1 salamander w/ extra handler - 80


And leaving me 30 points for a standard possibly? Also don't have my rule book on me, do I have too many points of lord and hero? Thanks, comments would be appreciated!
Special - 20 temple guard( 6 by 4 w/ slann making it the size of 24 man) w/ standard, musician - 341

25% of 2000 is 500 points, so you are within the parameters that you need to be. You should spend 25 points making the slann the BSB and give him the banner of discipline (15 points).

Thanks, do you think that the slamander can so something by itself? Or should I try to fit another? Also I only had 30 points left so that will put me 10 over I think

The more sallies the better. However, if you find it hard to add another, one will work great as well. To get the points for the BSB, drop a saurus or two.
