8th Ed. 2,000 Point Tournament List

Hey all, after much work balancing, revising, and testing my list I got feedback on earlier, this is what I ended up with. At this point I have models and massive changes probably can't be made (i.e. I can't add an EOTG) but I can definitely change unit counts, equipment, etc.

Lord- 465 Points
Slann Mage Priest w/ BSB, Standard of Discipline, Focus of Mystery (Life), Focused Rumination, Becalming Cogitation

Heroes- 160 points
Saurus Scar Veteran w/ Cold One, Light Armor, Burning Blade of Chotec, Charmed Shield, Dawnstone

Core- 640 Points
30 Saurus Warriors w/ Full Command
2x10 Skink Skirmishers

Special- 435 Points
2x6 Chameleon Skinks
25 Temple Guard w/ Full Command

Rare- 300 Points
2x2 Salamander Hunting Packs

Total- 1999 points

Thoughts?

I don't like the 2x20 Saurus. To me that is too small to reliably survive a round of combat, much less multiple rounds. They have to be magically buffed, but you cannot buff 3 units (2 Saurus plus TG). I'd rather see just two infantry blocks and make both bigger.

I edited the list to reflect your suggestion, which made a lot of sense. Thanks! I definitely like this more, and the slightly greater chance to finish deploying first.
