7th Ed. 1k lizard list for local tournament

So got a tournament on the 15th of may. Taking place in Boston and this is the list I am bringing.


Scar Vet w/ench shield, Sword of Migtht, Cone, LA

4 units of 10 Skirmsihers

3 krox

1 Stegadon

2 razordons.


this army shoots very well and the Krox are very good at taking out soft targets (IE missile troops), and I basically avoid ranked out units and just have a unit of Skirmishers park on either side of them and shoot till the games ends or I can get a charge with my Steg/scarvet on the very depleted unit.

So any thoughts?
 
interesting list... incidently if there is points to spare, you might wanna give the scar-vet the bane head (is the Cone a magic item or cold one like i think?) so that you can actually kill enemy characters.

Also try to hit enemy ranked units with 2 of your shock troops at once.... just incase, and your kroxigor are probably good for hitting any enemies that don't outnumber by too much.
 
yeah it is interesting but I have found some good success with Massacre Vs both WE and DE. The tournament is being put on by the website warhammer-empire.com and I plan to see many empire armies. The are easily 3-1 empire armies to all others.

I like the Razors for a round of shots at hand gunner then a charge, same thing with them VS warmachines. i think the Razor/sallies are our best answer for warmachines. The US 6 Fear for 2 of them should auto break almost every time.

the the Cone= Cold one, and I was playing with bane head but not sure i can fit it in. I like the S6 and 0+ AS. He is compressible to a lord choice in a 1k game so he should do quite well. Also I field him on his own

eeeeeeep, maybe wanna rethink that on his own? you know jsut incase empire cannons blow him up?
 
i have played several games VS empire in preparation and keeping him screened helps and I book him right to any cover I can get. Typically by turn 3 i have removed the cannon threat, or they shoot at my Stegadon.

But if I see an opponent with 3 cannons I will drop him in the Krox unit, still not look out sir though....


may 12 saurus would be good but i find them to slow for the tactic I am trying to employee
 
Maybe try dropping the krox and getting a unit of cold ones to protect him..... might have to drop something else though, but this would be even faster!
 
yeah that might be a good alt, but I am trading 9 wounds for 5 not sure that it would be that much more effective??

I did drop a unit of Skirmishers and added a unit of terradons though
