What do you think of the list?

My first game will be against a goblin army.
I know the guy is going to bring like 9 fanatics, a huge unit of squigs, 2 bolt throwers, a doom diver, a unit of spider riders, a boss on giant spider,...

Any tips to play against this army?

thnks

Tim from belgium

skink priests: if you upgraded them to lvl 2 they will get the full benefits of the EotG. 1 extra dispell dice and such, with only 1 spel leach you probably won't need the extra power dice from the EotG either. i suggest geting hem both to lvl 2
saurus: 19 is a lot, if you want to have 5x4 block you need 20 since your saurus will fly away but i suggest 6x3 (18) to max out your attacks. the champion is also usuless to due to the fact that the scar vet will fly away and the champion is only there to defend him agaist challenges
terradons: 5 seems a lot, i suggest either 1x4 or 2x3
korxigors: the extra attack on the champion is not worth its points, you could use them, along with the points from the saurus champion for iether 1 extra terradon or to upgrade 1 of the priests to lvl2
razordons: while people tend to find salamanders better this is a special instace where they are at the best, horde armies are susceptible to panic and sallies are at their best with that. i suggest swiching them to salamanders and dropping the extra handlers. those points, +the points if you drop saurus should get the other priest to lvl 2

Is there a magic cap or comp or something that prevents you from upgrading your skinks? They are pretty ineffecient as LVL 1 as they can only chuck 3 dice on a spell and only get 1 spell, which means in most games you end up with 2 horrible spells, which means your opponent will just let them slide and save their DDs for the jag charm. If you are competative enought to make a 2 EoTG list you should up them both to lvl 2, throw in a Plaque of Tepoc and a rod of storm for more magical dominance.

Looks solid, if you dump points from somwehere you can get 3x10 skinks instead which would be more effecient but you might be limited by the models you own, or 2x12 and use the pts for terradons.

Special

5 terradon riders
150

3 kroxigors
champion
185

Dont take a champion on the kroxigors, 20 pts for just 1 attack just isnt worth it. 5 might also be a little big for terradons, 2x3 is better (drop 2 skinks and the krox champ to get pts) and only 30 pts more expensive. You have the special slots so no real reason not to do it.

rare

unit of 3 razordonseach with extra handler
240.

3 razordons is a bit of a point sink, and they pretty fragile against both melee and shooting. Personally I think you could drop 1 razordon for lvl 2 upgrades on your priests, more skinks or an extra kroxigor. That would make your razordons less of a target and free up som much needed pts, unless you are dead set on using them.

Use units you want to sacrifice to drag out the fanatics (skink cohorts are ideal but dont have any =/), dont let them hit your sauruses or razordons. Terradons can draw them out easily but if they hit you, which they have a decent chance of doing, you might end up loosing a much needed terradon unit.

Huge unit of squiggs is a free lunch for terradons. Fly behind them, charge them in the rear. You will get to strike at goblins, the terradons does 0.44 wounds each, the skinks does 0.25 so a unit of 3 should cause 2-3 wounds, your unit of 5 should do 3.45, resulting in 4-5 (5-6 with a unit of 5) in CR against their 4 static CR. All it takes is 1 failed break test on their poor LD and they go poof. The terradons will keep winning combats until you either fluff your attacks or get counter charged.

If you want to hunt war machines with the terradons you have a lot of other untis that does well against squiggs, a charging engine should kill more than a few. If you get a charge off with the saurus with the scar vet in you should take them out easily aswell, but there might be better targets for your best fighting units.

thnks for the help.

I removed the kroxigor champ, 1 terradon and 1 razordon and all the extra handlers.

the priests are changed to level 2's and one has the plaque of tepoc.

also have 1 extra unit og skink skirmishers

so I have one unit of 12 en two of 11.

two EotG's aren't really friendly... but other than that I agree with what's been said.

there is no comp system so why shouldn't I take 2 engines.

:bored:

no comp system doesn't mean no ethical system. if you are the only one running such a list (one of the more powerfull and hard to kill LM builds) they might not enjoy playing you. that might not be a problem in a tournament enviroment for you but it might just be that they refuse to play you afterwards aswell...
if that danger is not present then by all means go steggie spamming

that's the way we do it here in belgium :)
we put cheese on our cheese.

also every ranked tournament I know in Belgium doesn't have a comp system.

Sorry, I just read "for friendly tournament" and assumed that this was going to be a friendly list.
